About Us
Question: So what denomination are you? Whom are you affiliated with?
Answer: Judaism.
Temple Or Olam’s membership is wide-ranging. Some of us are intermarried. Some are not. Some of our members grew up in secular households, while others remember Conservative services with nostalgia. Some of us bring Reform Judaism’s social justice message to our congregation.
We open our doors to Jews. They bring experience and knowledge that ranges across the Jewish spectrum, from Conservative to Reform, from Reconstructionist to Renewal.
Our community is the congregation’s defining factor. We each choose where we want to grow in our practice and experience; we each help define the direction we take as a congregation. Our life cycle events, festivals, and services are communal and welcoming.
We treasure the beauty of being affiliated with Judaism.
